Back in the early 1980s, denim wasn't considered a fashion statement by any means. But thanks to the Marciano brothers, the creators of Guess Inc., jeans have become sensuous, timeless and glam - a crucial piece of apparel considered fashionable in every facet of life.
Today, Guess' designer lines for women, men, children and babies, as well as its accessory line including: designer handbags, eyewear, footwear, jewelry and watches, continue to be directed by the Marciano brothers. Maurice Marciano has overseen the Company's design direction, which today is marketed in about 40 countries and over the Guess website.
Paul Marciano is credited with the vision behind the Guess image and has been responsible for creating some of the sexiest and most ingenious advertising images in history - using then-unknowns such as Claudia Schiffer, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton, Naomi Campbell, Carr Otis, Laetitia Casta and Eva Herzigova and plummeting their careers to supermodel status.
