Kate Spade Handbags
Kate Spade was the collaboration of fashion-minded editor Katherine Noel Brosnahan and then boyfriend (now husband) Andy Spade, late one night in Provincetown. The melding of Kate's first name and Andy's last name was used to form world-renowned fashion house Kate Spade designs. Kate's background as an accessories editor with Mademoiselle Magazine and Andy's know-how as a creative director at an advertising company quickly let the duo identify what was lacking in the handbag market and introduce a simple, silhouetted handbag.
Kate once said of the handbag "for me, nothing beats a practical, elegant tote.it will never be dated." Evidently Kate was bang on with her design, so much so that every woman in the world was soon itching to get their hands on an authentic Kate Spade designer bag.
Today, the Kate Spade designer line of purses and handbags include styles like the evening bag, clutch, tote, shoulder bag, closed top bag and the open top bag.
