Kenneth Cole Purses
American born, Kenneth Cole built a successful design house based on tailored classics - from the shoes up. Forever the go-getter, Cole was determined to get his first company - a shoe company - off the ground and running. So, in 1982, he parked his merchandise in a large truck in midtown Manhattan and began selling shoes right on the street. He was armed with a permit, which was granted under the guise of a film shoot, for "Birth of a Shoe Company". Cole sold 40 thousand pairs of shoes in two and a half days.the rest is history.
Known for his thought-provoking slogans, Kenneth Cole advertisements have garnered attention and a few chuckles with quips such as "Tomorrow I'll donate clothes to the homeless.
