Maxx New York Handbags

Husband and wife team Cherie Christmas and Yacob Assayag are the brains behind Maxx New York. The couple came up with the Maxx New York dream in 1988. A true meeting of minds, the couple developed the Maxx New York line as the answer to the affordable contemporary fashion that New Yorkers were looking for.

Before the couple met, Cherie was in sales and interested in fashion and business. Yacob arrived in the United States from Israel in 1976, with a keen sense of fashion and began working in retail. He designed a belt and soon had enough orders to warrant factory space for production and manufacturing. Enter Cherie as a production, design and sales associate and you've got a real New York romance. Their company Maxx New York was born soon after and they began designing and producing fashionable handbags for the every day woman.

Within a year of starting the company, the couple had a showroom of their own and was starting to make connections and build relationships with better department stores and specialty boutiques. Today, Maxx New York is going strong, designing for trends but maintaining the contemporary feel that keeps their handbags in fashion long after the trend has ended.

Mambo Velvet Hobo - Hobo bags have been hot for some time, but we seldom see the hobo design in fabrics like velvet. Ultra-soft and slouchy, the velvet Mambo is studded with coin accents around the frame, which gives it a more modern edge. The adjustable strap attaches by a brass hardware loop and adds detail to match the coppery coins.

Cha Cha Chain Bag - All that glitters is silver and gold on this funky Maxx New York bag. The gold chain strap attaches to the shimmering silver fabric by golden grommets. Any lady looking to glam up her outfit will definitely find what she's looking for in this bling-bling bag.

Maxx New York Large Tote - This leather-trimmed suede tote is definitely one of the hotter totes out there for ladies looking for a casual chic carry-all. Long, wide dual straps in lovely leather loop through the body of the suede bag and the buckle closes in an adjustable and unique way.

I bought a gold colored Maxx purse and after about three weeks the gold color came off the handle. I guess it was spray painted instead of dyed. What do I do now?

I own several Maxx New York bags, and get compliments everytime i wear one. They are unique, well made and stylish, plus the price is affordable, and the look is that of an expensive bag.

I love your handbags and own two. I change bags seasonally because I tend to lose things. However, I do recycle my lovely bags to agencies who provide clothing and accessories to wome re-entering the work force. So, I do buy new bags. However, and here's my comment, I don't buy any bag of size withuot feet on the bottom. That is why I did not purchase the gorgeous patent leather tote which is the Today's Special Value of December 24, 2007 on QVC.
