Designer Luggage Trends

For most of us who travel a few times a year, luggage is unlike a handbag. A handbag accompanies you almost everyday. It’s purchased to match your outfit, your mood or even the weather outside. For the average consumer, travel luggage is something you hope to buy only once and have it last forever. Since traveling has become much easier and much more frequent, we’re expecting more from our luggage and our luggage designers.

By air, by sea, by train or by vehicle, no matter where you go, as long as you leave home, preparing for a trip seems always to involve more work than you expect. Unfortunately, packing is usually left to the last minute, and it’s not until you’re actually packing, that you realize the luggage you currently have is in bad shape or fashionably outdated.

It’s not until you need new luggage that you start to realize how many different kinds of luggage there is to choose from. Luggage is not just the case that stores your personal belongings during a trip; it also speaks of your travel expertise, your fashion sense, your lifestyle and it even embodies your trip itself.

Many world famous fashion names, like Gucci Louis Vuitton, Coach and more, have pin-pointed the need for fashion trends in luggage. After all, for many people travel is combined with fun, so it should be stylish. Following the concept that you get what you pay for, luggage can cost a bundle when you weigh all the necessities - functionality durability, appearance and organization. Throw a well-known name brand on it and you’re talking a small fortune.

Looking at the current luggage industry, it’s not too hard to tell that smart manufacturers have started focusing on producing lightweight, hard-molded luggage that can protect your belongings. After all if you’ve bothered to buy an expensive luggage set; chances are your belongings are expensive as well.

In addition, standard unisex luggage has become history. The future is luggage designed specifically for women, children, teen girls, business, men and the fashion-savvy.
